PACE is a not-for-profit organisation that works in the community with
people with convictions. Over the past six years, PACE has developed a
suite of Prevention Services targeted at people with convictions for
harmful sexual behaviour. The aim of these three programmes is to
prevent further offences. These services include the SAFER LIVES
TREATMENT PROGRAMME, THE FOOTHOLD FLOATING SUPPORT SERVICE AND THE
CIRCLES OF SUPPORT AND ACCOUNTABILITY. These services work as part of
a multi-agency risk management strategy using a strengths-based
approach in a desistance framework.
SAFER LIVES is a community-based treatment programme run by PACE for
people with convictions for harmful sexual behaviour. The purpose of
the programme is to reduce risk and prevent further offences. Safer
Lives aims to contribute significantly to public safety by working
with this challenging client group. The programme model operates as a
co-facilitated, multi-disciplinary group process. Grounded in
evidence-based practice, the programme is strengths based and
desistance focused.
SAFER LIVES IS NOW RECRUITING A PSYCHOLOGIST to provide assessment,
group co-facilitation and individual therapy to clients of the
programme. As Safer Lives Psychologist, you will be co-facilitating
two groups per week with a trained Social Worker. The position is
full-time with a three year fixed term contract, leading to permanency
for a suitable candidate. Clinical supervision (individual and group)
is provided and CPD requirements will be met.
The post is Dublin based but will involve work outside Dublin.
Applicants must be registered or entitled to register with PSI, have a
post-graduate qualification in psychology (clinical or counselling)
and have experience of group facilitation and group process.
The Salary offered is at Clinical Psychologist grade (HSE).
